All the time it takes to hold it right.

I had a great weekend in the Big Apple. I already love living here and feel so at home. A big group of us got brunch today at Justin Timberlake's restaurant Southern Hospitality, which was so fun. It's Memphis-themed (where JT is from), so it reminded all of us of Tennessee. We even told our waiter that we're all from Nashville and up here for internships.

On Friday night, Max, Michael, Kathleen, Allison, and I accidentally walked into an NYU MBA orientation social and put on name tags with fake names and talked to people for awhile. I went by the name of Chelsey for about an hour, and Ashley (Allison) and I convinced several guys that we've been working at an accounting firm in NJ for awhile, but want to get more into finance and went to undergrad together at Vandy and graduated in 2006. Needless to say, it was hilarious, and hard to keep a straight face.
Max and his new name for the evening.
I'd like to end this post with a quote from one of my favorite blogs, Kendi Everyday. Kendi visited New York recently with her husband, and her words about the city have stuck with me ever since:

"I think the best part of New York is the energy it shares. I don't know if it is the amount of people, the thousands of businesses, the creativity that thrives but you fall in love with the city within minutes of arriving. It's magical. Even the dirty streets and the strange smell on every block becomes romantic to you. All of a sudden a place that should intimidate becomes intimate and you suddenly feel like you belong. Eight million people and they let one more girl in. That was certainly nice of them" (Source).
