Staring at our ceilings.

Last summer, while driving back and forth between Durham and Chapel Hill for classes, I would rotate through three albums: The Lumineers, Of Monsters and Men, and these guys.  If you like the first two, look into these guys for a smooth and more chill alternative. The video is of two songs off their amazing new album (though You and I is still my favorite), but if you're looking at their old stuff, don't miss Sun Hands, World News, Airplanes, and Who Knows Who Cares. There. Local Natives overload (Definitely not a bad thing).

Still getting settled in my NYC apartment. I'll post some pics when I have the final product completed (might not be for a few weeks).  After quite a journey to an Ikea in Brooklyn that was more packed than Disney World in July and needed more crowd control than Woodstock, I returned home with just four pieces of furniture to put in my tiny studio in the city. I then discovered that three of the items had scratches or the wrong piece of wood and couldn't be assembled, so now I am at the mercy of the Swedish gods of furniture. Here's to staying optimistic and looking forward to my adorable studio being fully livable by the time I start work in October.

We're Here to Stay.

Things have definitely gotten underway here at graduate school. I don't think there is ever a dull and free moment, but I tend to thrive in this sort of environment, unless I'm completely stressed. Which I was for a couple days last week. However, I think I've finally gotten caught back up on work and sleep and have finally started figuring out how to live my new life this quick, challenging, and short year.

I also joined the MAcc softball team! Crazy, I know, right? Regardless, I'm pretty excited about it. I hope I don't let the team down though!

Star Alert! I've made an appearance in the some of the business school's literature! They even quoted me! It feels pretty cool to be quoted, even though that picture is from a really awkward angle. Oh, the sacrifices we make for fame.
