A state of mind of which I'll try.

Isbells is new for me, but I like his sound (Think: The Paper Kites and Bon Iver make a Belgian love child).

Just got back from a week spent in Boone, NC, with the family. There was lots of cheese and wine and merriment. Also some hiking and lounging. Unfortunately, I'm back in Nashville to pack my entire life up, since I'm moving to NYC in exactly one week. Currently in a bittersweet mood about this, and, since I'm a little moody, I'm going to refrain from talking about it. In the meantime, I'm trying to downsize from a 710 square foot apartment to a 176 square foot apartment. So, basically, I'm selling everything I own in preparation for being super poor.  Anyone need any socks? Post-it notes? A bed?

When I see you from below.

Amidst studying for yet another section of the CPA exam, I had to stop to share a new song by The Paper Kites. Looks like they've got an LP coming out in August, and, based on this song, I'd be willing to bet it's going to be great.

Heading up to New York early August to find somewhere to live. The more I prepare for this trip, the more terrified I am. People often talk about how expensive housing in NYC is, but seem to fail to mention what a nightmare the entire process is. You would think, having graduated from business school, I wouldn't be below the poverty line and should have no troubles finding somewhere great to live. Rest unassured, I am going to be impoverished in New York City. Keep me in your prayers and your fingers crossed. What the heck, go ahead and knock on some wood, too.

Also, I'm going to work on revitalizing the blog come fall. I've finally got some ideas (Took me long enough). Changes are coming, but hopefully all will be for the best.
